The interaction between the different parts is vital to the individual’s being so they are often referred to as fundamental substances. Qi (pronounced chee), blood, body fluids and essence are the most important fundamental substances necessary for life.

TCM utilizes a system of Acupuncture points and meridians to track the function and balance of our organs, Qi and blood. It is believed that each organ houses a different aspect of our spirit.
